Purpose of "JIMs  JRNL":  is to help your  Ministry Finance Team  be more effective plus assist Christians to control their spending

PREFACE:

As most of you know, we have the following two websites: www.bcidot.org --  with a "Ministry Finance Helps" emphasis, plus  www.qbuxbox.org ,  with a "Spending Control Helps" thrust. The focus is to assist Small Ministries (SmallMins) who handle $500,000 or less per annum and Christian Believers in their pursuit of   "Righteous Personal Finance."     There are over 700 web pages within these two websites.  Some 600 times, within 175 of these web pages, we have made reference to the Internet or some type of Online endeavor.

THIS MONTH'S ENTIRE EMPHASIS:

With this in mind, this July 2007 edition of JIMs JRNL edition concentrates on the meaningful use of such Internet/Online resources with respect to the use of Computers/Software for essential financial management/stewardship issues as:

>>  A SmallMin does the appropriate Ministry record keeping so the leaders will know their applicable fiscal status and results of operations in accordance with annual plans converted to dollars (Budgets).
>>  Accounting/reporting of "Spoken For" monies, which I usually refer to as   "Special Purpose Funds",
>>  And the SmallMin accounts for its Donations or Contribution Income, etc.
>>  Plus, as a
Christian Believer,  you meaningfully "book keep" so you timely know the status of your personal finances so you can make appropriate spending decisions.

My REQUEST of YOU:

.   As a SmallMin,  or as a Christian Believer,  PLEASE  become "Internet Friendly" and make use of any/all Internet/Online  resources, from whatever source, that would apply to you.
In pursuit of this, I have below named information within our websites so you can click on the named hyperlink (like  Ministry Finance Teams Helps)  and you can readily go to the detailed content of the applicable web page.

05 - This Month's Editorials - "For What It is Worth" as produced in 2003":

Are you still doing things the "Old Fashioned Way" ??

Current "Ministry Finance" Truism

FINANCE GOVERNANCE - the Ministry 'Board of Leadership' is to have a finance governing structure that begins with an active (not honorary) Board Treasurer. It might include a 'Board Finance Committee', but it needs at least a 'Ministry Finance Team', composed of minimally the Ministry Chief Executive, the above Treasurer and the Computer Bookkeeper.  Further,  in order to do the very best job of finance governance, the Ministry should be making appropriate use of contemporary computer and software tools like that found via the Internet or Online.

Prayerful Thots :

Dear Lord, my prayer, during my lifetime, is that I would appropriately contribute to Small Ministries and Christian Believers making effective use  of Computer systems as enhanced by Internet/Online resources.  Please help me in this regard.  Thank you.  In the name of Jesus, Amen.
